I just died my hair color to espresso, from my naturally black color. I but im not seeing any results except at the roots....how soon can i redye it?

It depends on how healthy your hair is. I have died my hair twice in the same day with no problems, but my hair is healthy and doesnt damage easy.

About a week or two is best. If your hair is damaged, you made need a deep conditioning treatment.
