ok i need help with my hair

i'm mauritian and my hair is like black/brown kinda like my avatar but not as nice its naturally wavy but when i brush it it,, dies.its so frizzy and my hair's really thick so it like ,, POOOFS

i can't even put my hair into a simple ponytail cos of the poofness i hav to plait it like a leash lol i only let it down after straightening it for like 3 hours i have a an emo side fringe and layers i thought layers would help but they didn't rele help is there no trick that i haven't been told about? oh i even bought loreal super smooth shampoo + conditioner but it din't really work i don't usually blow dry my hair i let it dry naturally is this one of the reasons of poofness and also my fringe is fine i straighten it like evryday but i can't do my actual hair cos it just poofs seriously any tips for SUPER SMOOTH hair? like silkyness xxx love you all

well i use this herbal essence frizziness lotion thing.

just get a small bit and rub it through your hair. and your hair should stay smooth

take one of those dryer sheets and rub it on your hair, it will help kill any static which may be a part of your problem.

silkiness comes from about an hour of straight ironing. we have the same problem!! i use a garnier fructisee straightening syrum, and blowdry. then i use a straight iron. over and over untill my hair is very soft and straight!!! it works!

well u probably shouldn't blow dry ur hair it drys it out trust me itll make ur hair even poofier.after u wash ur hair u should put some kind of moisturizer then braid ur hair into 4 braids depinding on how much hair u have then in the morning take the braids out and comb ur hair a little bit not to much.it wont be straight itll be wavy but at least its controllable if ur hair is dry then put a little bit more moisturizer in ur hair.email me if this works.

These are the steps i use:

-Wash hair with John Freida's Straight Ahead shampoo/conditioner.

-Rinse hair out with cold water(helps eliminate fly-aways)

-Use John Freida's Frizz ease serum after, while hair is damp.

-Blow-dry hair straight.

-Sleep with hair down, not in a ponytail.

-Straighten hair in the morning.

It works for me...hope it does for you too =)

Gosh sweety. Sounds like we have the same hair.

I have a ton of hair too, and it poofs out big time cuz of the curls and waviness.

I like to use John Frieda's shampoos and conditioners but SunSilks products work well too. None of them defrizz hair all the way tho.

What I suggest you do? After your hair is ALMOST all the way dry, use some Frizz Ease, John Frieda's Secret Weapon Finishing Creme. Apply a small amount thru the hair. Brush it out, then blow dry it out straight as you can. (hold the dryer ABOVE the hair! and blow down the hair!) Then go back thru it with a straight iron. This takes so little time to do, especially if you're on the run.

You'll never have super smooth hair, because of the curl. But you can get it so it stays flat as you can get it, for your hair type.
