Anyone used loreal color zap to remove hair color?

i've been trying to fade my haircolor to avoid removing the tint or bleaching my hair, but it's not working, so i bought some loreal color zap. i know that it will turn my hair orange and dry my hair out, so please skip the lectures about how i should get my hair professionally done. i just want to know if anyone has used it, if so, what color their hair was when they used it, and how well it worked for them. thanks.

Try this first. Go to the store and buy a bottle of Prell shampoo. It's an old shampoo but most stores should carry a small supply of it. It's 'green' and usually in a clear tube. Wash your hair with it a couple of times, it is a "harsh" shampoo by today's standards, but shouldn't damage your hair. Then if it works (because I've used it before to strip my color), the 3rd time you shampoo, put on conditioner, then put a shower cap over it, get out of the shower and sit with the cap on for about an hour. Get in rinse and it will have "deep conditioned" your hair. DO NOT BLEACH IT. If all else fails, go to a beauty salon, it'll cost you but it will be safe.

Horrid stuff. Use Revlon.

I haven't heard of color zap, but I used L'oreal Hair Dye Remover to go from the (dyed) color you see on my avatar to BLONDE for the summer. I worked really well.
