Leave it in the full recommend time and it should- it did on my hair, but keep in mind that it's not a bright, shocking purple by any means.

depends on how dark you are talking... it showed up on mine... and if you want it brighter then just dye it again .. it brightens with each time you dye it

It will show for a day or so, then as it washes out it will fade to a reddish tinge left on your hair. Not worth it for the length of time it looks good imo

Not a lot. You will have a purple hue under some lights and out in daylight. With dark brown hair you will have to strip the color to a blonde and then color it--pretty harsh. I have dark blonde hair and the purple that my stylist put in it didn't make it a real purple and she told me about the strip and color.

Im sure it would probably show some but if you have dark brown and you want to die it purple then you might want to bleach your hair first before you die it purple that way it turns out better. (this is what i had to do to die my hair blond, I have red red red red hair and when i first tryed it, it turned orange.lol) good luck with dying your hair, hope it turns out for you. :)

I also have dark brown hair naturally and my hair was always colored some dark shade of brown whenever I used it. I used the copper red colored one and the black one. They showed up in my hair. Make sure you follow the directions.
