I use loreal conditioner, will everyday use of conditioners damage hair?

Hair is essentially a dead protein known as keratin. Hair is alive only at its root -- in the follicle. As a result, there is not much to the phrase, "healthy hair." Once damaged, hair cannot be significantly repaired by application of anything to its surface. Products that claim to repair damaged hair, such as conditioners, are simply materials designed to cover the damage but will not cause more damage.

in a word - no

I use loreal conditioner, will everyday use of conditioners damage hair?

no. conditioner helps your hair.

it wont damage your hair, but if you use the same product for a long period of time it can cause build up. Try switching your shampoo every couple of months to keep your hair shiny

Conditioners do not damage the hair--it's really the shampoo. One thing you may want to know is that store bought shampoos are as strong as laundry detergent. If you've got some damage already or you're just worried about the health of your hair, go to a salon and pick up some Bedhead or another low detergent product. Bedhead Moisture Maniac smells lovely and does the job wonderfully. Even though salon shampoos and conditioners may be a little more expensive they are richer in consistency so you only have to use 1/3 of what you normally use. Plus they are a lot less damaging, which costs you less in the long run. A few more tips for the general health of your hair is: Do not brush hair when wet--instead brush before getting in the shower. When you dry your hair don't wring it out or frisk it with a towel--instead blot the water out of it. When blow drying, use a cool setting on the hair dryer. When you rinse your conditioner, use cooler water to seal the cuticle for that "mirror shine". Try a vitamin with biotin in it to improve the condition of your hair, skin, and nails. Try shampooing and conditioning every other day unless you live in a very hot, humid area. When shampooing ONLY apply to the roots, rinse, and repeat. With conditioner apply it to the ends and work your way up. I hope this all helps--if you have anything else to ask let me know.

Which loreal color pulse thats red?

what red color pulse could i use on dark blonde hair w/ medium blonde highlights?

Which loreal color pulse thats red?

Start with the lightest that you think you need and test only a small lock of hair first. A year and a half ago I colored my 10- year-old daughter's dark blonde w/light blonde highlight hair with one of the L'oreal color pulse products and her hair turned bright fuschia. It still hasn't all washed out. I also used it on my own hair, which was salon highlighted, and mine ended up bright pink. Definitely deep condition the day before if you can, that will help gain a true 'color'. We used Cherry Pulse, I think. (I probably would have really liked it if I was a younger woman)

Which loreal color pulse thats red?

I have been doing hair a very long time and no one can answer that correctly without seeing your hair. If you place a red on your hair with out using a filler it will grab the base and your hair will turn pink. What you need to do is put a filler on first. Buy the color of your natural color and mix it with 1/2 water and 1/2 the peroxide and leave on for 20 min, rinse it out really good. Blow dry then add the desired red you want with a cap full of the natural color. this will keep it from grabbing pink, it puts pigment back in your hair. Good Luck

I wanna cover my hair with dark brown which shade # in loreal is good,Indian lady?

What colour is your hair now? Just look for the shade you want and take a look at the outcomes on the side of the box. It will tell you what that colour should look like depending on your current hair colour.

If you already have dark hair and your looking to lighten it to dark brown, go to a professional.

If yopu know lots about loreal products, can you answer this??

I UYSE COLOR PULSE, THE COLORING MOUSE. IT SAYS THAT IF UR HAIR IS COLored, you can revive ur color, buit it will not lighten. wat does tht mean??

If yopu know lots about loreal products, can you answer this??

LOREAL USES ANiMAL TESTiNG!

If yopu know lots about loreal products, can you answer this??

It is not permanent. To lighten you have to have something with a bleach or peroxide. These blonding kits will lighten. My hair is naturally very dark and to go lighter, I have to bleach it out and then color over the top of it.

If yopu know lots about loreal products, can you answer this??

When you color your hair the first thing that happens is the pigment is pulled from your natural hair. The amount of pigment pulled is determined by how much of the artificial color is going to fill back in to get the color desired.I believe pulling in the beginning is called lightening. This basically means it does not replace what has been done at is a topical rinse.Semi permanent.

Let me know if I am right.

If yopu know lots about loreal products, can you answer this??

ThickChick said that u had to lighten your hair....DO NOT DO THAT!!! my sister did that and it dried out her hair really bad...the 'color pulse' thing was made for teens who can't exactly make up their mind. what you should do is try to use something that says will last longer...it usually has more intense coloring...the mouse will wash out in a couple weeks.

I have naturally dark brown hair with alot of red pigment. I have been dying it blonde with loreal?

Anyway because of all the red pigment my hair always looks brasssy. (9 have tried Ash, Beige, etc) I can't find a color that will complemente with my milk white skin. Browns wash me out %26amp; reds are to brassy. HELP!

I have naturally dark brown hair with alot of red pigment. I have been dying it blonde with loreal?

I can tell you a sure-fire way to get a color that matches your skin tones: Wear your own! Seriously, when you alter your hair color you have to be very, very careful to make sure that the new color is a good match for your skin. As you have discovered, this is quite difficult. Your natural hair color sounds very beautiful to me and I'd suggest that you wear it proudly. You will look lovely.

what you will have to do is if you want it blonde because of the brass it will take you more then one session with blonde. First try a lightener that gets you to the brassy stage then dye your hair blonde one more time. Then your hair should be a shade of blonde.

Anyone got any oppinions on loreal's fria starry night brand of hair dye in blue black??

feria in general is very damaging (think fried hair), drying, and worse, the color fades just after a few days. instead you should try garnier blue black

Anyone got any oppinions on loreal's fria starry night brand of hair dye in blue black??

NOT GOOD DOES NOT WORK my friend hair fell out from that

Anyone got any oppinions on loreal's fria starry night brand of hair dye in blue black??

...I have never used that brand but I have used the Garnier Fructis as mentioned above and as for the actual color it's pretty I love how healthy and shiny black hair looks (when the hair is healthy to begin with)...if you rinse the conditioner with cool water it will seal the cuticle and make the hair shinier...but if you have a lot of split ends black will accentuate them...because the hair is so dark they can't help but stand out...so get a nice trim if you haven't had one already...
