I use loreal conditioner, will everyday use of conditioners damage hair?

Hair is essentially a dead protein known as keratin. Hair is alive only at its root -- in the follicle. As a result, there is not much to the phrase, "healthy hair." Once damaged, hair cannot be significantly repaired by application of anything to its surface. Products that claim to repair damaged hair, such as conditioners, are simply materials designed to cover the damage but will not cause more damage.

I use loreal conditioner, will everyday use of conditioners damage hair?

in a word - no

I use loreal conditioner, will everyday use of conditioners damage hair?

no. conditioner helps your hair.

I use loreal conditioner, will everyday use of conditioners damage hair?

it wont damage your hair, but if you use the same product for a long period of time it can cause build up. Try switching your shampoo every couple of months to keep your hair shiny

I use loreal conditioner, will everyday use of conditioners damage hair?

Conditioners do not damage the hair--it's really the shampoo. One thing you may want to know is that store bought shampoos are as strong as laundry detergent. If you've got some damage already or you're just worried about the health of your hair, go to a salon and pick up some Bedhead or another low detergent product. Bedhead Moisture Maniac smells lovely and does the job wonderfully. Even though salon shampoos and conditioners may be a little more expensive they are richer in consistency so you only have to use 1/3 of what you normally use. Plus they are a lot less damaging, which costs you less in the long run. A few more tips for the general health of your hair is: Do not brush hair when wet--instead brush before getting in the shower. When you dry your hair don't wring it out or frisk it with a towel--instead blot the water out of it. When blow drying, use a cool setting on the hair dryer. When you rinse your conditioner, use cooler water to seal the cuticle for that "mirror shine". Try a vitamin with biotin in it to improve the condition of your hair, skin, and nails. Try shampooing and conditioning every other day unless you live in a very hot, humid area. When shampooing ONLY apply to the roots, rinse, and repeat. With conditioner apply it to the ends and work your way up. I hope this all helps--if you have anything else to ask let me know.

I use loreal conditioner, will everyday use of conditioners damage hair?

no it doesn't damage hair, not using conditioner will definitely damage your hair and create split ends

I use loreal conditioner, will everyday use of conditioners damage hair?

no.........but try to put some olive oil in ur conditioner to make it healthier

I use loreal conditioner, will everyday use of conditioners damage hair?

Use treatments for permed hair. Leave in for 20 minuits. No it won't damage your hair, but make it very soft and limp.

Which loreal color pulse thats red?

what red color pulse could i use on dark blonde hair w/ medium blonde highlights?

Which loreal color pulse thats red?

Start with the lightest that you think you need and test only a small lock of hair first. A year and a half ago I colored my 10- year-old daughter's dark blonde w/light blonde highlight hair with one of the L'oreal color pulse products and her hair turned bright fuschia. It still hasn't all washed out. I also used it on my own hair, which was salon highlighted, and mine ended up bright pink. Definitely deep condition the day before if you can, that will help gain a true 'color'. We used Cherry Pulse, I think. (I probably would have really liked it if I was a younger woman)

Which loreal color pulse thats red?

I have been doing hair a very long time and no one can answer that correctly without seeing your hair. If you place a red on your hair with out using a filler it will grab the base and your hair will turn pink. What you need to do is put a filler on first. Buy the color of your natural color and mix it with 1/2 water and 1/2 the peroxide and leave on for 20 min, rinse it out really good. Blow dry then add the desired red you want with a cap full of the natural color. this will keep it from grabbing pink, it puts pigment back in your hair. Good Luck

Which loreal color pulse thats red?

i kinda have the same hairstyle and i choose lively auburn!!! i was thinking about hot mahagony but i thought the auburn looked more natural.

I wanna cover my hair with dark brown which shade # in loreal is good,Indian lady?

why don't you just apply mehndi...

I wanna cover my hair with dark brown which shade # in loreal is good,Indian lady?

What colour is your hair now? Just look for the shade you want and take a look at the outcomes on the side of the box. It will tell you what that colour should look like depending on your current hair colour.

If you already have dark hair and your looking to lighten it to dark brown, go to a professional.

If yopu know lots about loreal products, can you answer this??

I UYSE COLOR PULSE, THE COLORING MOUSE. IT SAYS THAT IF UR HAIR IS COLored, you can revive ur color, buit it will not lighten. wat does tht mean??

If yopu know lots about loreal products, can you answer this??

LOREAL USES ANiMAL TESTiNG!

If yopu know lots about loreal products, can you answer this??

It is not permanent. To lighten you have to have something with a bleach or peroxide. These blonding kits will lighten. My hair is naturally very dark and to go lighter, I have to bleach it out and then color over the top of it.

If yopu know lots about loreal products, can you answer this??

When you color your hair the first thing that happens is the pigment is pulled from your natural hair. The amount of pigment pulled is determined by how much of the artificial color is going to fill back in to get the color desired.I believe pulling in the beginning is called lightening. This basically means it does not replace what has been done at is a topical rinse.Semi permanent.

Let me know if I am right.

If yopu know lots about loreal products, can you answer this??

ThickChick said that u had to lighten your hair....DO NOT DO THAT!!! my sister did that and it dried out her hair really bad...the 'color pulse' thing was made for teens who can't exactly make up their mind. what you should do is try to use something that says will last longer...it usually has more intense coloring...the mouse will wash out in a couple weeks.

I have naturally dark brown hair with alot of red pigment. I have been dying it blonde with loreal?

Anyway because of all the red pigment my hair always looks brasssy. (9 have tried Ash, Beige, etc) I can't find a color that will complemente with my milk white skin. Browns wash me out %26amp; reds are to brassy. HELP!

I have naturally dark brown hair with alot of red pigment. I have been dying it blonde with loreal?

I can tell you a sure-fire way to get a color that matches your skin tones: Wear your own! Seriously, when you alter your hair color you have to be very, very careful to make sure that the new color is a good match for your skin. As you have discovered, this is quite difficult. Your natural hair color sounds very beautiful to me and I'd suggest that you wear it proudly. You will look lovely.

I have naturally dark brown hair with alot of red pigment. I have been dying it blonde with loreal?

what you will have to do is if you want it blonde because of the brass it will take you more then one session with blonde. First try a lightener that gets you to the brassy stage then dye your hair blonde one more time. Then your hair should be a shade of blonde.

I was given a free Loreal Colour Pulse Mousse hairdye, i can't remember if i read the product&#

i read but it said for you not to apply heat once you have used the product. i lost the leaflet and searched the net for soem information but came out with nothing. what happens if i do apply heat to my hair after i use the product (because i straighten my hair). will the be any major damage done to my hair if i do? is every hairdye product like that?

I was given a free Loreal Colour Pulse Mousse hairdye, i can't remember if i read the product's leaflet that

no if drying happens then get a hair repair wrap your hair in a towel with the repair and keep it in for 30 mins then repeat the newt day that should help if you still get a dry feeling then trim your hair and repeat the repair

Anyone got any oppinions on loreal's fria starry night brand of hair dye in blue black??

feria in general is very damaging (think fried hair), drying, and worse, the color fades just after a few days. instead you should try garnier blue black

Anyone got any oppinions on loreal's fria starry night brand of hair dye in blue black??

NOT GOOD DOES NOT WORK my friend hair fell out from that

Anyone got any oppinions on loreal's fria starry night brand of hair dye in blue black??

...I have never used that brand but I have used the Garnier Fructis as mentioned above and as for the actual color it's pretty I love how healthy and shiny black hair looks (when the hair is healthy to begin with)...if you rinse the conditioner with cool water it will seal the cuticle and make the hair shinier...but if you have a lot of split ends black will accentuate them...because the hair is so dark they can't help but stand out...so get a nice trim if you haven't had one already...

Loreal color mouse?

COLOR PULSE

Can i use the red with dark brown or black hair? will it show?

Loreal color mouse?

your hair might turn more Burgundy. On the side of the package the hair colour you have will indicate how red your hair will go, If your looking for like pure red you need to bleach your hair out. if your going to do that i recommend getting it professionally done. so their will be no problems like green hair or something stupid like that

Loreal color mouse?

Ive tried it and it didnt work for me..maybe in the light it shows a lil..i say dont bother

Loreal color mouse?

Ive used the red once before, it was great! But my hair is blonde. I also used it on my friend, who has dark brown hair, and it turned her hair a dark shade of purple. Soo u might not want to dye it that color, unless you want your hair purple!!

Loreal color mouse?

Your hair will most likely turn a purplish color. In order for it to show up red like that, you have to bleach it first.

Which shampoo is better? Loreal vive pro OR Garnier Fructis?

I lost the directions to my hair dy that i just bought(loreal preference)how long should i keep it i

25 minutes

I lost the directions to my hair dy that i just bought(loreal preference)how long should i keep it in for?

about 30mins. i keep it in, until it starts burning, which i dont recommend but just my preference.

I lost the directions to my hair dy that i just bought(loreal preference)how long should i keep it in for?

It depends on how hard your hair is to color. If it takes the color easily, then usually about 15-20 minutes is enough. If it's more stubborn or you're covering a lot of grey, then 30-40 minutes is normal. You should do a strand test before coloring all of it so you know how long it'll take.

Loreal PULSE?

If you used it, give me ALL the info on it.

like, how long intill the color faded from your hair...

how much it cost...

does it work well..

ECT.

Loreal PULSE?

it works well.

it smells good!

the color is good, but the bottle is rrreeeeeeeaaaaalllllyy tiny and i have too much hair for just one so when i did it it didnt cover all my hair.

it was easy to do.

the time in which it takes the color to fade depends on how often you wash it.

costs like $10 at the most.

makes your hair soft and once again smell good.

i think thats about it. and it doesnt stain or damge your hair.

Loreal PULSE?

i used it and it works well depending on what color hair you have i used it and it gave me beautiful red highlights in my dark brown hair. it will usually stay about 2-3 weeks.i think it costs about 5-8 dollars not more than that. if you have really long and thick hair you should buy 2 packages but when i used it there was alot in that package.they come in alot of really cool funky colors like copper, hot red, blonde and more.

Which hair colour is most common in Indian females, godrej colour soft/garnier/loreal?

i want to use one of these any indian used it and have experiance/using reguler hair color please guide me urgent

Which hair colour is most common in Indian females, godrej colour soft/garnier/loreal?

I use Garnier brown shade and it is 'the best'.

Which hair colour is most common in Indian females, godrej colour soft/garnier/loreal?

I suggest that you go to a salon for color. Indian hair is very strong sometimes very resistant to some chemicals. Home color kits do not contain a strong enough developer(peroxide) to bring your hair up to the color that you would like and could turn your hair orange. so go to a salon and let a pro handle this

Which hair colour is most common in Indian females, godrej colour soft/garnier/loreal?

I am sindhi_hindu and economical use the solution of simple Aritha, shikakai and awla

i think you should use godrej because my dad uses it and it works.

Which hair colour is most common in Indian females, godrej colour soft/garnier/loreal?

I regularly use Godrej, which is inexpensive and yet does a good job!

Garnier and L'Oreal are also very popular, though more expensive. They are gentler on the scalp.

Which hair colour is most common in Indian females, godrej colour soft/garnier/loreal?

Use Garnier that is the best color which you can use it fornightly or as per your requirement. There are varieties of color range available in this product so it iseasy to choose as per your hair color.

Dying my hair black. Help.?

I know I keep asking this but I'm kinda worried since I've read quite a few stories about people not getting good results from dying their hair.

Ok well, I've always wanted to dye my hair black, so what I did was I first bought a non-permanent dye (natural black) to see what it would look like on me. It looked good but I was expecting it to be darker. My natural hair color is VERY dark brown, almost black...like the one in this picture with the name of "C-2 Dark Brown":

http://www.hopefashions.com/images/color...

So today, I bought a permanent black hair dye. To be exact, it was this one:

http://www.amazon.com/LOreal-Feria-Hair-...

First question: I'm not planning on doing this but it wouldn't hurt to know. Would it be bad to dye my hair with this permanent one OVER the non-permanent one (mind you, I dyed my hair with the non-permanent only 3 days ago).

Dying my hair black. Help.?

Don't worry about dying it black; most likely you'll need two boxes of dye if your hair is long and/or thick. I know I did!

Temp. dyes always turned out lots lighter than a permanent black dye, so permanent dye won't do that.

Your roots won't be very noticeable unless they're blonde or red or generally really light; my sis has dirty blonde and you can barely tell where the roots have grown and the black dye remains. the roots have grown quite a bit. but my hair is red, and the roots were very noticeable. just dye your roots, it won't ruin your hair to do so.

I recommend Revlon ColorSilk! It's real cheap and it keeps your hair soft and pretty. Plus it works.

I doubt it will have negative effects to use permanent over temp.

Dying my hair black. Help.?

well since your hair color is so close to the color that your permanently putting in your hair i don't believe it will look bad once it grows out. i know that from experience...but i would probably make sure that the temporary dye is out of your hair before you put the permanent dye in your hair b/c the color you bought is REALLY DARK and you don't want it looking purpleish...so i would wait until all the temporary dye is out first. HOPE I HELPED!

Are there any products similar to the Loreal color rays?????

im looking to use a blue dye in my hair. color rays is meant for dark hair, but they do not make a blue dye. =\

anybody know of any other products?????

Are there any products similar to the Loreal color rays?????

i really don't think so!

I would like to try Loreal Color Pulse (Red Pulse). For people that have used it, how was it?

I have dirty blonde hair. I want to temporarily dye my hair red, just for a change. I'm not really worried about whether it washes out in a certain amount of time or not. Did this product give you a good color result? Did it damage your hair at all?

I would like to try Loreal Color Pulse (Red Pulse). For people that have used it, how was it?

it will work on you . but it wont last too too long. it gives a great color result if your a dirty blonde and no it doesn't damage. i have used the product at least 3 times.

I would like to try Loreal Color Pulse (Red Pulse). For people that have used it, how was it?

why would you want to change beautiful blond hair to red??? ew

I would like to try Loreal Color Pulse (Red Pulse). For people that have used it, how was it?

L'Oreal Color Pulse does not damage your hair, as far as I know, since it's VERY temporary, if it does work.

You have light hair, though, so it should work.

(( If you're a lot closer to brunette hair, though, I don't think it will. ))

I would like to try Loreal Color Pulse (Red Pulse). For people that have used it, how was it?

i used Color Pulse in red and it was a nightmare. I have blonde hair too and it seriously took forever for it to wash out!!! Definatly not the 8 washes it says on the package. It lasted like 4 months. I had to use a special shampoo to wash it out. The dye sticks more to blonde hair and thats why it stays in longer.

I would like to try Loreal Color Pulse (Red Pulse). For people that have used it, how was it?

I have used colour pulse 3 times. It works great! It washes out in around 8 shampoos as it says. No damage at all.

I would like to try Loreal Color Pulse (Red Pulse). For people that have used it, how was it?

First and the only advice that you should be listening to is to stop... DON'T do it yourself... its dangerous and consumers do not have the training and the ability to purchase the products that really work. Think about it.. if anyone can go in a buy the same box of color that is sold in the stores how can it really come out how it says it will on the box.. everyone has different hair texture, strength, elasticity, and natural color. This is my professional opinion...Please do not try this at home yourself... please just go to a salon.. and if you can't afford it... DON'T DO IT!!!

I would like to try Loreal Color Pulse (Red Pulse). For people that have used it, how was it?

I used red pulse on my light brown hair and loved it! I only used about 1/4 of the can because I didn't want it too bright, so I was able to dye my hair red 4 times. It lasted on my hair for about 12 washes each time. Some people thought I actually had naturally red hair, it was great! It's completely safe for you hair, and if you don't get it as even as you like, it washes out so no worries.

Hey, has anyone tried the loreal lumi oil?

its the one for unmanageable and dry hair...not sure which number it is. anyway, just wanna know if it really works to smooth frizzy hair. is it more of a styling product or does it moisturise and repairs the hair as well?

Hey, has anyone tried the loreal lumi oil?

never

Has anyone tried the new Loreal Color Match? What do you think?

I've seen the commercial, I 've look at the website but I am not sure. I have really long brown hair with a reddish tone to it. I had dyed it like that by mistake and is looking for a nice darker brown that looks natural. My hair is naturally a dark brown. I want the color back. I want it to like Kelly Monaco's...can anyone help me get that color??

Has anyone tried the new Loreal Color Match? What do you think?

Permanent hair dye lightens and deposits at the same time, even the darker colors do that, so dark brunettes will wind up with some red tones. If you don't want red tones try a demi permanent hair color in a dark brown,it will deposit color only. Go to a beauty supply and get the color there. Good luck

Has anyone tried the new Loreal Color Match? What do you think?

Your welcome. You can even use the demi color more often on all your hair to freshen the color up because it is allot less damaging then regular permanent hair color. Report It

Has anyone tried the new Loreal Color Match? What do you think?

t works pretty well but i think u should go to the salon and go dye it

Has anyone tried the new Loreal Color Match? What do you think?

I really liked it a lot when I used the 9W light golden blonde - however, I decided to go a little more "golden" with the 8W and now I have a dark ashe blonde that looks hideous with my skin tone! Never had this problem with Loreal before! Be careful!

my hair is like dark brown to black, idk if this product will owkr on my though...

Has anybody used loreal color pulse? im planning to use funky cherry but my hair is black, will it work?

If you want it to actually be bright cherry colored, you are going to have to lighten your hair first - otherwise you will just have brownish-red hair. STRONGLY recommend having a professional - even one at a cheapie chain - do it for you the first time, otherwise you risk destroying your hair.

Has anybody used loreal color pulse? im planning to use funky cherry but my hair is black, will it work?

you should lighten your hair first then do the cherry look

I have so many colors in my hair...???

I have totally natural hair (well duh lol). I have never dyed it or highlighted it or nothing like that. My color is dirty blonde but, I also have red, black, and brown parts in it. Where u can see my hair, it is platinum blonde, dirty blonde, and brown. Underneath, it is all different shades of blonde, and there are hairs that are black, and some are even red. My quesion is, I want to keep it blonde, but over Christmas break, I want to try that Loreal stuff that only last 2 weeks, I want to use brown. I dont want to mess up my hair color though. My fam says that I shouldnt but I dont know what to do!!!! HELP ME PLZ.!!!!! lolz

I have so many colors in my hair...???

Temporary colors are great because they don't lighten your hair first and then darken as they develop. They also stay on your hair for a shorter time. Read the box carefully before you do anything. Sometimes, the color can be more permanent on lighter hair if you are going darker. (This happened to me.) But, change is fun and if you take care of your hair after coloring, it will be fine. Good shampoos and conditioners will keep it healthy while you have fun.

Good luck!

I have so many colors in my hair...???

Temporary colors don't stay in long its called a rinse last only 2-4 weeks. Your hair will be fine and it will go back to its multicolor look without damaging it. Just make sure the box does not say Permanent.

I have so many colors in my hair...???

If it really only lasts 2 weeks I say go for it. I would try a light brown because the color always turns out darker than you think it's going to.

I have so many colors in my hair...???

If you like your natural color... you really shouldn't try to color it yourself. Temporary hair color is an oxymoron.

I have so many colors in my hair...???

Make sure its temporary and then it will not matter. Remember each different color on your head will take the color differently so you still will have some tonal differences.

I have so many colors in my hair...???

i would say if it only lasts for 2 weeks totaly go for it, but if you end up not liking it, there's no problem because it will only last a couple weeks. and if you end up liking it a different shade than what it is, then dye it that color. dont be afraid to try new things.

I have so many colors in my hair...???

If it is temporary, I say go for it.

My hair is similar. The overall look of it is red, but the individual strands go from deep coppery red to so light blonde it looks clear, most are in between. The blond is mostly underneath. I would have to bleach it if I wanted it dyed though so I'll stick with the way it is.

Hair dye that doesn't fade?

i'm dying my hair dark brown tonight.

what is the best dye that will last the longest?

right now i have loreal but i could go to the store and get something better.

i need something that lasts a long time because i used to use garnier fructise(it claims to be permanent) and it fades after like 3 days.

Hair dye that doesn't fade?

All those products are horrible for your hair, the only reason they stay long is because there are products in there that make it hold on a lot more. It sufficates your hair. Do not use unprofessional products! Go see a professional.

Hair dye that doesn't fade?

Even if you go see a professional it isn't going to help. I am a hair stylist and it all depends on the pourosity of your hair. If your hair is very porous it is not going to hold color long at all. Also, hair color needs to stay in your pores as long as possible. Its like a perm and how your not supposed to wash your hair for 48 hours...same thing w/ color...it will help keep the color in longer and don't wash it everyday after that. No matter what color line you use you can still have a problem. YES professional color is better for your hair because they use better ingredients. Save your $$$ and go see a professional or just be prepared for it to fade..nothing is permenant (even tattoo's fade)!

Hair dye that doesn't fade?

Emily, next you're gonna be asking what color underpants you should wear. Like your other questions, the answers will be all over the board and inconclusive. JUST BE WHO YOU ARE AND WANT TO BE--that's the kind of girls whom I'm attracted to, not phonies. Jack C

Does anyone know the customer services number for Loreal for colouring advice?

I need advice on their Castings Creme Gloss and which colour to use. I tried the light brown and even that was too dark for my hair, even though my hair I would say is a mid brown. I've seen the Iced Latte but that looks too light. I was wondering though if that is the shade one lighter than light brown as it seems they all appear darker on my fine hair.

try soma leave-in conditioner. its FAR better then the ones you have mentioned, but there is no miracle. patience and a gentle hand is the only thing to really erase those knots. The soma leave in is the best leave in i have ever used.

Can I re-dye my hair to a darker shade after color removal?

I used Loreal hair color removal on my hair, to where then it was supposed to be ready for new tint. So I picked a shade that was close to my natural color, which was a medium natural blonde, and it still turned out super light blonde. Can I re-dye with a darker shade of blonde to acheive the more natural color I was going for?

Can I re-dye my hair to a darker shade after color removal?

honestly I wouldn't recommend doing this so soon after color removal and tinting.... what happened was is the following:

color removal lifted artificial pigment exposing natural lightened pigment with no highlight (natural highlight is whether your hair appears, ashy, golden, copper etc...), when the new permanent hair color was applied the developer did it's job lifting the raw pigment further and only depositing a small amount of artificial highlight tone... if you apply more over it now the developer cannot lift pigment as it is covered by the previous tint but can begin eating through the protein in the hair... this is the problem and as I cannot see the condition of the hair I cannot advise that you attempt to do anything further at this point... in about 1 month when you have regrowth, tint the roots the tone you wish but be careful if you use something like an ash based color to lessen gold/brass tones in the natural hair, if you pull it through the lengths even at the last few minutes of processing that may still be enough to make your lengths an off tone or damage it.

ya !sure you can re-dey your hair for more information see the below mentioned website...i think it will help u...

Is Color pulse hairdye from loreal a good brand?!?

I was thinking on using it since it's a temp dye..

but does it really last fairly long?

is it less damaging on your hair since it's like not permanent or something?!

Is Color pulse hairdye from loreal a good brand?!?

Well yes Loreal is the way to go if you are buying in store hair color! Although not recommended. As when you buy color from a dept store, it is not known what you are getting. In order to color your hair you need different developers which come in ranges from 10-40. It all depends in your natural color, thickness, what products you use, etc. The safest bet is to save the money and go to a salon and get it done, Also when you color your hair with box colors and one day do decide to get a color done at a salon, that color may not work out. Box colors can sometimes be a dangerous mix with salon colors. Herbal essences stay away from! It is also a know fact, that some box colors, mixed with salon colors can cause your hair to catch fire! Just be careful!

Mahogony will just give off a slight tint if your hair is already dark. Electric night has some blue to it! Any color to your hair does some damage.

yes

What is the best at home hair dye to work with? loreal? clairol? which one doesnt make your hair bra

Herbal Essences is awesome! It's a bit pricey but the color you see on the box IS the color you get in your hair, even if you go from black to blond! The comb in highlights work beautifully too. Very easy to work with, not runny or drippy, the solution stays in place, and the smell is not as strong as other hair colors.

What is the best at home hair dye to work with? loreal? clairol? which one doesnt make your hair brassy?

L'OREAL paris. umm it depends on the color of your hair. i would go with a champagne. if your hair is light. and you can buy products like the john freda collection, they have certain shampoo's and conditioners and glosses that go with this. it lightens your hair and makes it feel REALLY good after dying it.

What can I do to achieve the hair of my dreams?

I am 16 yrs old and male.My hair is thick, too thick and grows very fast . It tends to stand up on my head and looks awful. After shampoing it pulls out even more and looks worse. It is also quite dry.

I have tried many oils, shampoos, conditioners and natural remedies (including applying egg yolk)but nothing seems to work on them. I used Estolan conditioner and my hair did improve about 20% but its not going more than that.

And one more thing when i have just come out of the shower and my hair is wet it looks brilliant. Its so manageable, nice, smooth silky. But once it dries up it starts looking awful again. Someone recommended the Loreal Elvive Nutri Gloss leave-in conditioner to me. What do you think I should do?

The hair I dream of is smooth, silky, manageable and dead straight.

What can I do to achieve the hair of my dreams?

First off go to a salon and have your hair thinned

Then have it straightened, the best way to do that is the Japanese hair straightening system, costs big BUCKS

The key to my hair looking and feeling better is DRINK LOTS OF WATER

Herbal Essence is good shampoo and Pantene Intensive Conditioning Treatment is great

How well does the line of Loreal Paris shampoos for men work at thinckening and restoring hair like

the thickening and restoring of hair in this case is not the growing of new hair and replacing lost hair but taking the hair you have and repairing damage and giving it a thicker appearance.

How well does the line of Loreal Paris shampoos for men work at thinckening and restoring hair like it claims?

hasn't worked for me i'm still bald

How well does the line of Loreal Paris shampoos for men work at thinckening and restoring hair like it claims?

no thickening shampoo actually thickens.....u have to use a product that coats the hair follicle.....have u ever dipped candles??? Something like that process.

You just as well get use to the Kojack look, Jeffy baby...hair today...gone tomorrow.

It doesn't work at all. I wouldn't recomend it

Is loreal paris excellence creme deposit only hair color?

No - it's not - it has a developer that you mix with it. This developer will cause lift - check the back of the box - it should show you three different "natural" shades of color and then what each of those will look like once they've been colored. If you still with a level that is close to your natural shade it shouldn't "lift" too much. But for example if you take a box of blonde color and put it on someone with dark brown hair - it will lift the color just enough to make Orange. If you're looking for "deposit only" the box should say "semi-permanent" or "demi-permanent" color. Anything that says "permanent" on it will not deposit only. Hope this helps!

Is loreal paris excellence creme deposit only hair color?

yes

Is loreal paris excellence creme deposit only hair color?

If you don't want to lift your color...use a level 10 creme devolper.

Good, long lasting hair dye?

Can anyone recommend a good hair dye that will cover my few greys for more then 3 weeks? Also, something that might lighten my overall hair color (which is dark brown now) to a lighter brown with some highlights. My hair is long so i don't want to use the pull through highlighting cap and the brush on...well lets just say I never do it right!! I don't want to spend a fortune on having it colored and highlighted in a salon. What should I do? Has anyone used the Loreal Experte line that is on the stores? What was your experience like?

Good, long lasting hair dye?

There is a product called root-touchup and it is fantastic ive heard! its by clairol by the way! And sometimes a silver lining is pretty on blondes.

Hair problems?

okay, my hair is thick, curly, and extremely frizzy. Everything I've tried(Garnier Fructis, Sunsilk, John Freida, Loreal, combinations) does little to tame it. I have virtually no time to use blow dryers, straighteners, etc so what can I use to help??

Hair problems?

I can't say much seeing I haven't actually seen your hair, but you might want to try your favorite solon and ask your hair dresser who would know your hair best. They can also recommend to you the latest products that might help.

Hair problems?

Frizz ease. I am not sure if that is how they spell it on the bottle. If that doesnt work there is also this cholesterol stuff that is a treatment you buy in a big tub. I know it sounds disgusting but it really works.

Hair problems?

You need to put mustard oil every night to strong your hair.(It will make your hair strong, black )

You may be belongs to a place where there are much Iron in your day to daily life water usages.

After 7 day using the mustard oil go to parlour and do a hair straighteners.

Hair problems?

No Chemical Straighteners. This will only make things worse!!!

Every week, I make it a point to DEEP Condition my hair. It's similar to what they do at salons...I put Olive oil on my hair before I wash it...then wrap it in a bun and put on a shower cap and blow my blow dryer on it for like 10 or 15 minutes. Then I wash my hair REALLY well. After washing it, I take my favorite conditioner ( I use moisturizing shampoo like Biolage...pricey but effective) and I put it on the ends first. Then I put it on the rest of my hair. Then I put my hair in a bun and wrap it a few times in plastic wrap. Then I wrap it in my towel for about a half hour..sometimes if it's super dry outside, I put a warm blow dryer to my head before I wrap in the towel. When it's time to rinse, I rinse with warm water...not cold (because it's too cold for my scalp!!!)

Then I just style as normal.

To be honest when you have curly hair like us, you really have to try different products. I like Biolage, Got2B, and Motions. Good luck.

I know that my hair washing ritual sounds tedious, but it really does help!!! Good luck!

How long can I use hair dye after its initial mixing with the developer?

Yesterday I purchased Loreal Paris Superior Preference (Dark Brown) Kit. As usual, I mixed the dye with the developer and applied it to my hair, with about half left at the end. After the process, I have decided that I don't think that my hair is dark enough. I still have the other half of the dye left. Would it still work if I tried putting the rest of it in my hair a day after mixing it? And even if it wouldn't do anything, would it damage my hair if I tried?

How long can I use hair dye after its initial mixing with the developer?

You can't keep it that long because the developer stops working after about 30-40 minutes. Next time, only mix 1/2 the dye and tightly seal the rest.

How long can I use hair dye after its initial mixing with the developer?

The hair dye won't do anything a day after mixing it with the developer. You should have used it within half an hour - maximum! - after mixing.

How long can I use hair dye after its initial mixing with the developer?

No it won't do anything to your hair, it probably won't damage it (no more than a regular coloring process does), and you should dispose of the leftover mixture before it bubbles up and starts bursting out of the container (all over your sink or wherever it is). Just buy the same color again. Was this your first time coloring your hair?? You might have to go a shade deeper - maybe even a demi color.

How long can I use hair dye after its initial mixing with the developer?

it will do absolutely nothing . it will lose it's strenght over nite.

Help me w/ my hair!!!!!! lol plz?

Well, my piece of advice is to wear your hair pulled up.. ie ponytails, or bun. you could do a wavy pony tail or straight.

Um and pratice yoyr hair on weekends and at night..

I have frizzie hair... hear some things prevent the frizzies....

1.when you wash your hair..try to use warm not hot water ....then whe your rinse out the conditioner use a cooler water.

2.When your get out of the water dont rubb you hair with te towel....pat it without causing friction in you hair.

3. I use paul mitchell hair products..but they are costly....The frizz ease products never worked for me. But my friend loves and stand by the ganier fruity stuff in the green bottle

4. Heat is a big frizz contributor... ya know. So if you choose to use heat make sure you protect it.. with the heat stuff .

5. Keep your hair trimmed

Help me w/ my hair!!!!!! lol plz?

it might be good to try gels and sprays. i have a friend at school who used to have curly hair like none other, and each day she would use quite a bit of spray so the hair doesn't got out of wack

Help me w/ my hair!!!!!! lol plz?

Well, i had that prob too, but then i started using Tre-Semme and Sleek.Look. They both worked. And if your hair is still how you describe it, it could be yur washing it wrong... Massage your scalp, not scrub it! You could also buy leave-in conditioner and serum. They help a lot! My hair is much better, even though i use about 10 hair care products.

Help me w/ my hair!!!!!! lol plz?

Y DON'T U USE MOOSE OR GEL OR SOME HAIR SPRAY!!

Help me w/ my hair!!!!!! lol plz?

There is a product out there called Friz-ez. I found it about a year ago. I'm in Canada though, but it sure works for me. It's like a gel but you don't need very much and not too expensive.

Help me w/ my hair!!!!!! lol plz?

y don't ya jsut get a new style all together...something short so it doesn't take much effort but looks totally hot

How long does hair colour stay in u r hair?

i wanted to know as how long does loreal hair colour stay cause it does not suite me and wanted to use a home made remedy to wash off the hair colour to my natural look pls help me

How long does hair colour stay in u r hair?

well if you bought permanent then it will stay in there until it grows out or you put color over it. It might fade slightly, but it will be in there permanently. If it was semi-permanent it will fade out with every wash.

If you are trying to get rid of the color quickly I would suggest coloring it again. But do not try to color it a lighter color, it must be darker. If you want it a lighter color then you need go to a professional.

How long does hair colour stay in u r hair?

Hair colours commonly stay upto 1 month max.after that nearly 75% of it will spade.

How long does hair colour stay in u r hair?

It depends on that how frequently u washes ur hair

How long does hair colour stay in u r hair?

if ur applying loreal hair colour, then use loreal shampoo for coloured hair its a red coloured bottle, use it , will work , my hubby also faced the same problem with normal shampoo, then he switched over to loreal shampoo for coloured hair %26amp; it worked 4 him

How long does hair colour stay in u r hair?

it depends what kind u get...people say permenet last until ur hair grows out but it doesn't it fades like i used permenet blonde hair dye and its fading after like 2 months....but semi-permenet only last for a little over a month depends wat color ur hair is and what color your wanting to dye it

How long does hair colour stay in u r hair?

it depends on d colour n type

How long does hair colour stay in u r hair?

one month ....

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the bl

I have about two or three inches of my natural color grown out and wonder what would happen if I stripped out all the black. What if it mixes in with my "roots"? What if it touches my scalp? I bought that Loreal Hair dye removal kit but I'm not sure if it's gonna work out. Gonna try it tomorrow morning with my friend playing hair stylist. We are gonna dye over it that same day. I know it's crazy but I'm a college student with Noooooo money for a pro job! Will it work? I have about 4 layers of black hair dye in there! Will the Strip job with the remover work out okay?

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

I have no idea...but you can try laundry detergent. It worked for me. :]

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

i have no idea

but i say dye yur hair again. even the same colour as yur normal hair just to be safe,

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

After you do that all I can say is deep condition the fcuk out of it your hair will be so dry! Also don't use any blow dryers, curling irons or anything like that on your hair for a while.

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

It'll be fine. If it doesn't strip all the black out, just buy another box of it.

Color remover is seriously my best friend haha.

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

When it comes to you hair and color, I firmly believe you should let a professional take care of it. You don't want to take any chances of ruining your hair or it's texture. Find out how much a really good color specialist will charge to take the black out. Save until you can do that and don't mess with it yourself. I realize you are a college student, but I truly think it's worth the wait. One suggestion would be going to a beauty college if there is one close by. They are so much more affordable.

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

I had the same situation a few months ago.what you need to do is go to a salon and let them do it.if not then you can seriously damage your hair or make it turn a nasty orange shade.I understand you dont have a lot of money but try going to a academy to get it done.Like for example I went to the Toni %26amp;Guy school where the students in training are.It is way cheaper than the actual Toni%26amp;Guy salon.Or Paul Mitchell has a school too.

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

IT WILL NOT STRIP OUT THE BLACK... MY MOM OWNS A SALON AND CHARGES 150.00 HR TO STRIP OUT BLACK! AND IT TAKES A MIN. OF 3 HOURS.. PLUS YOU CANNOT RE-DIE YOUR HAIR THE SAME DAY YOUR HAIR WILL NOT HOLD COLOR... TO GET OUT BLACK YOU HAVE TO STRIP ALL THE PIGMENT OUT OF YOUR HAIR WHICH BASICALLY MAKES IT STRAW NOW IF YOU HAVE REALLY STRONG HAIR IT MAY HOLD A LIGHT BROWN AFTER STRIPPING IT... BUT IF YOU DONT WANT YOUR HAIR TO BREAK OFF AND LOOK LIKE **** YOU MUST GO TO A SALON OR JUST LET IT GROW OUT!! THOSE ARE YOUR ONLY CHOICES... AND BY THE WAY DONT EVER ****** USE BLACK AGAIN!!!!!

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

OH PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not do that it will turn orange and good luck dying over the ucky orange that it comes out to be also you may damage your hair so bad it breaks off LIKE ALL OF IT that is black and you will still not have the outcome you want.

Go to a beauty school it is cheaper

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

I agree with KoolKat.

Nothing really good comes out of stripping the color out of your hair especially if it has been chemically treated that many times. Coloring over it will not really solve the problem either since black would be very hard to lift out of there.

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

Try to keep the remover just on the black dyed hair until it has enough time to totally process, it takes time so be patient. It has about seven stages to go through depending on the colour you want to end up with you have to decide before you apply the remover. For example if you are going for your natural hair color you have to lighten up to that level or lighter then color it after so it will look good and not too brassy. Its complicated. good luck!

How do i make my hair more flowy?

i have natural (african) hair but i don't find it hard to take care of at all. i wash and condition with herbal essences "hello hydration" shampoo and conditioner. then when i get out of the shower i comb it out while it's wet, then i use my towel to take off a lot of the excess water, so that it's like damp but not soaking or dripping wet. then i rub loreal hot straight heat protectant stuff all over it. then i get out my blowdryer with a comb attachment and comb/dry all of my hair. at this point it's like straight but kinda poofy. and soft. then i take my solia tourmaline flat iron and straighten it in tiny sections from the back till my whole head is straightened. my hair turns out nice and soft, but what can i put in it while it's wet/when i'm washing it, to make it turn out more bouncy and flowy (like a white persons hair when it's straight lol) when it's finished?

How do i make my hair more flowy?

one word: Pantene! lol

How do i make my hair more flowy?

when you get out of the shower, try some gel. just use your fingers with the gel and comb through. and then you can also try blow drying your hair upside down. it works for me.

How do i make my hair more flowy?

I have to say, if you have african hair, that it will not be like a white person's hair. There is no possible way to make it bouncy and flowy. Scrunching it with your fingers will make it volumized, and that is about it...

How do i make my hair more flowy?

i use pantene, the always smooth, and i use sleek style by nexus, and if u want to, get your hair featherd or get layers.

How do i make my hair more flowy?

dont use an oil based product...try something like TIGI Control Freak or some thing non oily. And dont use too much product...a dime size ammount is plenty for long hair

How do i make my hair more flowy?

FIRST THAT IS TOO MANY STEPS. CAN YOU GET PERMS IF YOU CAN'T YOU NEED TOO GET SOME OF THE SETTING LOTION OR JUST GO TO THE CLOSEST STORE LIKE THE BEAUTY STORE ON FOX RUN AVE.

How do i make my hair more flowy?

Wow, that is a lot of work. How do you every get anywhere on time? If anything will work, it will probably be Pantene. But surely there are products for black hair on the market, that would work for you.It is hard trying to be something that we aren't.I am white and I am waiting for the Afro to come back into style. I loved mine in the 70s and 80s!

How do i make my hair more flowy?

Try leaving theconditioner into your hair, basically dont rinse it all the way out. Than continue with your regular routine. Besides to answer someone that said afro hair cant become bouncy like caucasian hair, that isn't true. Even those with caucasian hair blow dry their hair straight to get the bouncy silken hair affect and it works for afro hair to it's just really damaging and I dont reccommend it. To achieve the blow dry look you hair must be 70 percent dry and you must use a round brush and dryer attachment.

Hope I helped.

Does gelling the hair lead to baldness???

I use Park Avenue, Set wet and Loreal hair styling gels. Will it affect my scalp and i have heard some gels may lead to complete baldness. Still now i dont find any problems. I also use enriched oils which i use to apply during evening hours which might protect my hair and at the same time i use these kinda gels in the morning. What kind of effect will it make on my hair???. now i have thick black hair. i'm 18 now. pls assist me about this....

Does gelling the hair lead to baldness???

Hair dye reaction!!!?

my hair is mahogany red/ cherry red. i first dyed it this colour via my local salon and then second time round i dyed it with a slightly duller shade by loreal preference. i fancied a slightly brighter red so i decided to try LIVE XXL shade R43. as usual i followed the instructions and done a patch test for allergies and waited 48hours till i applied the dye buuuuutttt when i put the dye on this morning it stung and itched REALLY badly as soon as it went on so i washed it off. Is it safe to try another dye (obv after another allergy test) or will i face a certain reaction to any dye. if I can dye my hair again, does anyone know how long i would have to wait? any advice appreciated as i am really disappointed that i took a reaction - my roots are coming through and my red is fading to crappy brown :( lol

thanks

Hair dye reaction!!!?

schwarzkopf XXL was probably the WORST range the brand has done, in the professional range their products are much better. i have quite a few clients who have tried the XXL absolut platinum and it has burned their scalp and melted their hair in some cases (although mis-use is also a factor in why) i would stay away from anything in this range unless you have used it previously and had success. the best OTC red colours are by feria, although be warned- they are extremely permanent and if you change your mind you will have to use a colour remover to remove it. i would also wait 24 hours before applying another colour as this will give your scalp chance to build up the natural oils to protect itself. another good point is if you don't want your hair to be muddied with all different shades then you may want to use a colour remover to remove it all and start afresh. (colorfix by robert craig if you live USA or schwarzopf igora phantom if you live UK)

Hair dye reaction!!!?

try using Dulux

Hair dye reaction!!!?

ask advice of a hairdresser i would

Hair dye reaction!!!?

my advice to you would be don't dye it again- i have had a severe reaction to hair dye in the pat, my eyes swelled shut and i had to go on steroids for over a week. the docotr told me that each time you react to something you are allergic to, the reation worsens. and you could actually DIE.

I now use the body shops natural henna hair colour, they do a bright red one and it is really good.

Hair dye reaction!!!?

I think it may be safer not to try it again! If you got to your GP they may be able to give you a patch test which may point out which dyes (if not all of them) you can not use.

Loreal are known for their very strong dyes so this may be why. You may be able to find some natural or organic products.

Hair dye reaction!!!?

go ahead and try another dye. all dyes have different ingredients so you may not be allergic to a different kind. just do the allergy test and if it burns again, ask your salon for advice. hope you get through this tough time with your crappy brown roots lol :]

Hair dye reaction!!!?

make sure you are giving enough time between colors for your scalp to heal, and if you have dandruff, or dry itchy scalp any hair dye will burn and itcy because most have ammonia, try using a semi permanent color that has lots of oils and conditioners in it to lessen the damage to your scalp and you should be ok, and make sure you do some kind of hot oil treatments to help heal your scalp after coloring like VO5 or just heat a little olive oil put on and wear shower cap for a little while, do this about 2 times a week first few weeks after coloring, it will make hair shiny and pretty and make scalp feel better too!

Hair dye reaction!!!?

You shouldnt be mixing different brands, stick to what you're okay with. Also its best to wait till its faded and almost washed out to redo it, your hair needs to relax after being dyed, only touch up your roots between dying.

Hair dye reaction!!!?

i would wait 48 hours before trying again make sure it,s a different make not all dyes are the same

Hair Dye???

Im dying my my hair today and i need to know what is the best way to make sure that my whole head is same color. The roots are black, but in the mid way point of my hair it is blonde from previous dye. I don't want the ends to be light and the roots still dark. I plan on using Loreal, not sure of what color, but a pretty shade of red. Any tips? Is it possible to use a boster with it to make it come of lighter, it so how much boster.

Hair Dye???

you either need to lighten your roots first and then color all of it or you will have to put a filler on the blonde parts before you color. a filler is a regular color that will darken the blonde a little, then you would put the color over that. As to the booster all that is going to do is speed up the processing time and have the red look better, it's not going to lighten it any.

Hair Dye???

Go over the roots once and make sure you cover the blonde a little more.

Hair Dye???

if its an at home dye just make sure you rub it in ON evry inch of your hair.

Hair Dye???

The biggest trick is to get your hair absolutely clean. Before coloring, my stylist uses a special clarifying shampoo, which removes oils and residual chemicals from the hair. Unfortunately I don't know what its called. Perhaps you could ask your stylist, or call a Sally Beauty Supply if there is one near you.

L'Oreal Color Pulse does not damage your hair, as far as I know, since it's VERY temporary, if it does work.

You have light hair, though, so it should work.

(( If you're a lot closer to brunette hair, though, I don't think it will. ))

i used Color Pulse in red and it was a nightmare. I have blonde hair too and it seriously took forever for it to wash out!!! Definatly not the 8 washes it says on the package. It lasted like 4 months. I had to use a special shampoo to wash it out. The dye sticks more to blonde hair and thats why it stays in longer.

I have used colour pulse 3 times. It works great! It washes out in around 8 shampoos as it says. No damage at all.
